The analysis of literature data on oxygen radicals role in deteriorations caused by subarahnoidal haemorrhage (SAH) has been made. Mechanisms of mitochondrial-depended production of free radicals, state of antioxidant defence as well as effectiveness of pathogenetically based therapy in patients has been considered.
