The paper deals with a bibliographical information, pertaining to the participation of the pineal gland in providing a chronorhythmic degree of order of body’s physiological functions, as well as the results of the authors’ own investigations that reveal the specific characteristics of disturbances of the morphologic structure of the rats’ pinealocytes which were under a modification of the photoperiod and introduction of synthetic tetrapeptide — epithalone.
