Boris Petrovich Babkin (1877–1950), a follower of the great I. P. Pavlov. The scientific researches and achievements of S. Komarov as a pedantic experimenter are highlighted. A great contribution of a researcher to development of physiology, and in particular gastroenterology as a science, is presented.
