40 patients suffering from exertional angina pectoris of II–III functional classes (FC), who took atorvastatin in a daily dose of 20 mg were examined. The therapy resulted in increase of NO-sуntase activity, decrease in content of nitrites, increase in content of nitrates. Another group of patients who didn’t take statins had increase in NO-sуnthase activity in the blood plasma.
