New Approaches to Development of Local Wound Healing

The aim of the study was justification for the use of gel with nanoparticles of silver and glucosamine to improve the treatment of burn wounds.

Materials and methods. The study of wound healing activity of gel with nanoparticles of silver and glucosamine were made on a model of burn wounds in rats. To assess the efficiency of healing the wound area through in a day was measured the wound area and calculated area healing, healing speeds factor, reparative effect.

Results. At the 7th day it was significant reduction of the defect area burn in animals which treated with the gel with nanoparticles of silver and glucosamine compared with the original data. At 13th day of treatment, the wound area in animals, which applied experimental gel was in 2 ones lower than in group which treat comparator. Full healing in animals, which were applied the gel took place 2 days faster than in the comparator group. The difference in total gel reparative effects of gel with silver nanoparticles and glucosamine and cream “Dermazinum” in the treatment of burn wounds is 48%.

Conclusions. Thus, further research of developing products of local wound healing based on nanotechnology in order to improve the treatment of wounds is prospective.
