ASPECTS OF TREATMENT OF ATRIAL FIBRILLATION IN PATIENTS WITH CONCOMITANT HEART DISEASE IN FAMILY DOCTOR PRACTICE

The article provides a retrospective analysis of published data on combination therapy and rational strategy to control the rhythm in patients with atrial fibrillation with concurrent heart disease. The main goal of treatment is to improve the quality of life and the prevention of complications and death. Treatment should be aimed at the restoration and preservation of sinus rhythm, or when it is impossible — slowing ventricular rate and the prevention of thromboembolic complications.
