ROLE OF PROLONGED EPIDURAL ANESTHESIA IN THE PREVENTION OF PERIOPERATIVE THROMBOHEMORRHAGIC COMPLICATIONS IN PATIENTS WITH ENDOMETRIAL CANCER

The article deals with a problem of thrombohemorrhagic complications in gynecological cancer patients having hysterectomy at the stages of surgical treatment. There were studied 88 patients with uterine body, cervical and ovarian cancers who had hysterectomy between 2008 and 2010. Using the integrated prevention involves performing prolonged epidural anesthesia and introduction of bemiparin which allows to prevent such thrombohemorrhagic complications as pulmonary embolism, massive bleeding, reduce the number of postinjection hematoma and DVT and reduce the time of hospitalization by 33.3%.
