THE INFLUENCE OF MEDGERM ON THE FUNCTIONAL STATE OF THE LIVER AT ACUTE TOXIC HEPATITIS

The results of hepatoprotector properties of a new complex compound — cuprum-oxiethyldendiphosphonatogermanate — (laboratory code — Medgerm) are presented in the article. Prophylactic-curative Medgerm introduction (by dose 0.4 mg/kg) really raised the amount of survived animals after galactosamine introduction. The symptoms of acute toxic hepatitis and terms of renewal of the broken liver’s functions were diminished substantially after Medgerm application. Medgerm’s hepatoprotector activity was not lower than that one of the preparation of comparison (Essentiale), but had better characteristics by some parameters.
