LIFE AND ACTIVITY OF THE FAMOUS ANATOMIST FEDIR ANDRIYOVYCH VOLYNSKYY

F. A. Volynskyy (1890–1970) is the Honored scientist of Ukraine, one of the first talented students of V. P. Vorobyov — the founder of the Ukrainian school of anatomists.

While being a second year medical student Fedir Andriyovych was interested in the anatomy. Under the guidance of academician V. P. Vorobyov he worked at first as a preparator, then as an assistant of dissector, senior assistant, associate professor and regular professor. In 1944 professor F. A. Volynskyy was elected the head of the Normal Anatomy Department of the Odessa Medical Institute, where his research and educational activity had continued for many years.
