An important role in the organization of the Novorossiysk (Odessa) University was played by its first dean, Professor Vladimir Valerianovich Podvysotsky.
His activities were rich and varied. Construction of clinical buildings was underway. Also, Professor Podvysotsky temporarily took over the course of histology.
An important result of the activities of V. V. Podvysotsky in Odessa was the selection of faculty for teaching at the departments of the medical faculty. Over time, the educational base of the university is expanding, the number of students is increasing.
Professor V.V. Podvysotsky was elected chairman of the Odessa Balneological Society, he actively participates in improving the resort business in Odessa and, in particular, with the activities of mud baths on the Khadzhibeysky, Kuyalnitsky and Sukhoi estuaries.
